About

Aspiring business woman by day and medical laboratory scientist by night, Jasmine Belton, MLS (ASCP) was born and raised in the small town of Monroe, La. Here she developed tenacity and a sense of awareness of her community. The analytical mind that drives her to help save lives at night also fuels her ability to find ways to approve the livelihood of every day people. Passion for community service developed during her undergrad years where she served as both President and Vice President of the Kappa Theta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. as well as other positions. She now serves on her local graduate chapter as public relations and social action chair as well as is involved with other local organizations including the Ouachita Chapter of NAACP.

Her current aspirations include investing in small, black-owned business as she plans to pursue her MBA with a concentration in Finance this Summer. Until then, she self-funds many of her creative and service projects through careful planning, strategic collaborations, and faith in God.

Her dream to be a blogger initially began in 2018, since then she never let the thought leave her mind as life continued to refine her wisdom. Now the dream has come into fruition and The Butterfly Blogs aims to be a safe place, or sanctuary, for many ages of people across all demographics. This lifestyle blog focuses on self-help, community service, and activism.
